Originally a homemaker, her husband worked in Dubai. While living there, she often struggled to buy daily essentials—shopping malls were far away, and online orders took a long time to be delivered. She would often think, “If only someone could bring the things I need home with just a phone call, it would be so convenient for everyone.” After returning to Bengaluru, she decided to turn this thought into reality. That is how Home Need Cart was born.

A Soldier’s Dream

Mr. Venkattappa served the nation as a Subedar Major in the BSF. While stationed in distant regions, he was constantly troubled by the fact that his family back home had no one to deliver even basic essentials to their doorstep. What once felt like a hardship soon transformed into an opportunity—this experience became one of the sparks that led to the creation of Home Need Cart.

From Employment to Entrepreneurship

Prakhyat worked in a reputed brand that had over 150 showrooms across India. But during the pandemic, the company itself shut its doors. In that difficult time, a revolutionary idea struck him: “Instead of customers wandering from showroom to showroom, what if technology enabled them to open their own showroom inside their pockets—buying and selling at their convenience?” This vision turned into a historic business concept and became part of the foundation of Home Need Cart.

Three Ideas, One Mission

Though born from different situations, these three ideas converged. Like-minded people joined hands with them, and together they built a powerful new venture.

Today, Home Need Cart – the Pocket Showroom of Customers, has grown into a large and thriving company with a nationwide presence.
